What is Benazir Taleemi Wazaif?

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif is a conditional cash transfer programme run by the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). It pays a quarterly education stipend for school-going children of families already receiving Benazir Kafaalat, with the aim of improving enrolment and reducing dropouts.

Girls receive Rs 500 more than boys at every level to encourage female education. The money is paid to the mother's account, and payments continue only while the child keeps attending school.

How to register

  1. Make sure the mother is an active Kafaalat beneficiary.
  2. Visit the nearest BISP tehsil office with the mother's CNIC and the child's B-Form.
  3. Get the admission or registration form verified by the child's school.
  4. Submit the verified form back at the BISP office and keep the slip.

Who is eligible for Benazir Taleemi Wazaif?

Children whose mother is an active Benazir Kafaalat beneficiary and who are enrolled in school. BISP's age bands are 4 to 12 for primary, 8 to 18 for secondary and 13 to 22 for higher secondary.

How often is the stipend paid?

Once every quarter, meaning four times a year, into the mother's account.

What happens if attendance is low?

The stipend is linked to school attendance. Reports put the requirement at 70%, and a quarter with low attendance may not be paid.

Do I have to pay anyone to register?

No. Registration is free. Never give money or your CNIC details to agents who promise faster payment.
